Are you looking for a rewarding career that not only allows you to hone your professional skills but also makes a positive impact on the community and the environment? At Second Chance Inc., we believe in the transformative power of opportunity, training, and personal growth. We’re a Baltimore-based nonprofit dedicated to creating jobs for those who need a second chance.
Second Chance is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides people, materials and the environment with a second chance. We deconstruct buildings and homes, salvage usable materials, and make those and other donated items available to the public for reuse at our more than 200,000 square foot retail center. With the revenue generated, we provide hands-on job training and workforce development for those with various employment obstacles in the Baltimore region.
We are proud to employ around 200 individuals, each with their own unique background, experience, and skill set. As an Equal Opportunity Employer, Second Chance embraces diversity and fosters an environment of mutual respect and collaboration. Our team members range from those finding their footing in the workforce to seasoned professionals who’ve spent years perfecting their craft in retail, warehousing, human resources, or administrative support.
Second Chance is almost always hiring! Because of our ongoing growth, we frequently have full-time, part-time, and seasonal openings. From administrative positions and customer service roles to warehousing and receiving roles, there’s a wide array of opportunities that cater to various skill levels and career aspirations.
A core part of our mission is workforce development. We invest in providing robust hands-on training that teach valuable trade and soft skills, ensuring our team members gain marketable experience for their future careers. Through on-the-job coaching and mentorship, we aim to help every team member become more employable—whether they continue to grow with us or eventually move on to other opportunities that match their talents.

If we believe you could be a strong fit, we’ll reach out to schedule an initial interview. Depending on the nature of the position, you may meet with a hiring manager, department head, or a small panel of team members. Our interviews are designed to help us learn about your strengths, career goals, and aspirations—while giving you an opportunity to learn more about Second Chance’s culture, day-to-day operations, and mission-driven ethos.
Successful candidates who receive a job offer will be guided through a comprehensive onboarding process.
