Second Chance’s retail operation is a nonprofit boutique brimming with donated and reclaimed treasures—from architectural salvage and home furnishings to lighting and décor. Every sale reinvests in our mission, giving individuals the skills they need to thrive. Shop with purpose and discover one‑of‑a‑kind finds that make an impact.
Second Chance is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides people, materials and the environment with a second chance. We deconstruct buildings and homes, salvage usable materials, and make those and other donated items available to the public for reuse at our over-400,000 square foot retail footprint. With the revenue generated, we provide job training and workforce development for those with various employment obstacles in the Baltimore region.
Our retail space can be a little daunting to first-time guests. Others drive by and wonder what’s inside that big building at the entrance to South Baltimore. So, we’ve enlisted Google’s cutting-edge Street View technology to let folks wander through the Second Chance store to take some of the mystery out of what lies behind the walls at 1700 Ridgely Street. Enjoy this 360-degree virtual tour…and come see us “live” soon!
Though our showroom is packed with unique donated finds, we’ve honed our expertise in architectural salvage and one‑of‑a‑kind home furnishings—items you won’t see in a typical store.
Second Chance operates differently: from transparent pricing to eco‑friendly practices, our approach puts people and planet first. Read our store policies to see what makes us unique.
Every purchase directly fuels Second Chance’s mission of job training and community reintegration. Your support gives individuals a real second chance.
